I just acquired two OverStayer “OS” stereo FET compressors. Being the drummer I am these are a dream come true. I’ve only dipped my hand in the pool with these guys but my 1st impression is “damn thats nice”.
As a test I let my Flame clockwork & Moog voyager run random & got behind the drum kit to play along. I stuck one OS on the drum bus, & one on the Moog bus. The drum bus OS really brings out some resonance & glued punch to the kit. The other added some nice dirt/body to the synth. I’ll share more “analytical” thoughts/test files shortly once i’m off my gear high, but all in all these things just sound great & have a feature set I’ve been needing for some time now. Highly recommend.
Audio Examples. (FYI – Lowend/Sub is a bit out of control)

Yo Eric, the OS comps sound great on the drums and I really liked what it did to the Moog as well. The examples sounded like 2 different takes where you are pushing the groove on the 1st and just sitting back on the second. 1st take has way more power and the compression is subtle and musical to the ear. nice score and keep up the good work, love the site. Hey Ian,
Yeah I can’t say a bad thing about them. Well other then the wallwart power supply. Thanks for the comment.
