I just finished putting it together in a custom box. (a thingamakit box actually) The new ver 2 has everything you wished for in ver 1. Modulation for days, S&H, ect. Best of all CV i/o.
What I find surprising is that all 3 vers have there place.
ver 1 for just fun simple noise.
Thingamakit has 2 leds for interesting optical based patterns & rhythms.
& ver 2 is just an all around feature slut but with only one Led.

Made myself a nice little passive summing panel for my home rig out of parts laying around the shop. I wanted to simplify/improve my final summing stage. Pleased with the results, Sounds great. Gives me piece of mind bypassing the channel IC’s & master section on my Sony MXP desk.

I used a simple XLR panel, Neutrik XLR mounts, Neve super conductive cable, & OHMITE 1% metal film resistors. Took all of 2 hours to wire up.

10.7k resistors on the inputs & a 220 shunt on the outputs.

After level calibration my noise-floor is at -80 & crosstalk @ -88.

FYI – this is with a John Hardy M1 transformer pre for the make up gain. Nothing better IMHO.

This is the 2nd Moog Drum Sample Set & Live 8 Drum Rack “Moog Drum Two”. (The 1st can be downloaded HERE.) You will find some nice deep tones in this set. Think 808 if it had a Minimoog filter. I’ve created pitch macros for each sample. Being that it is sampled @ 96k you have plenty of room to re-pitch those samples without quality loss for music production.

Captured @ 24bit/96k with Lynx converters & DBX 903 compression.

Analog Signal path = Moog Voyager-DBX 903′s-Console EQ-Dominator II- Lynx.

Six velocity samples per pad.

Overview

The Minimoog Voyager RME is an analog waveform sculpting masterpiece, especially with the add-on CV breakouts. Unlike many classic analog drum machines, the Voyager with its dual filters can create wonderful stereo imagery. I’ve taken the time to program detailed percussive patches & from these i’m creating sample sets. This is the 1st “Moog Drum One” Samples Pack / Drum Rack for Ableton Live 8. (The 2nd can be downloaded HERE.)

Update: I’ve created pitch macros for each sample. Being that it is sampled @ 96k you have plenty of room to re-pitch those samples without quality loss for music production.

Captured @ 24bit/96k with Lynx converters & DBX 903 compression.

The original test has the filters set to wide open on both synths. I don’t think the original ever fully takes the filter out of the picture. So with some further knob twiddling I have found if you add a little resonance on the voyager the wave shapes get pretty damn close. I’m thinking the voyager just has a wider filter range.
