Tutorials -
Ableton Live Multi Comp-1 Side-Chain Tutorial.
Create a track to compress & a Source to feed the side-chain.

2. Insert Multi Comp-1 into the track that you want to compress.

3. Select what Band(s) you want to side-chain compress in Multi Comp-1

4. Send the audio from the Side-Chain source to Multi Comp-1

5. Now choose what band(s) you want to feed.

That’s it. Hit play and adjust Multi Comp-1 to your liking.

Reaper Multi Comp-1 Side-Chain Tutorial.
Create a track to compress & a Source to feed the side-chain.

2. Insert Multi Comp-1 into the track that you want to compress.

3. Set the track to be compressed to 8 Channels.

4. Select what Band(s) you want to side-chain compress in Multi Comp-1

5. Now disable the Master send from the side-chain source if you don’t want to it to be audible. Then send the signal to the appropriate Multi Comp-1 side-chain input.

That’s it. Hit play and adjust Multi Comp-1 to your liking.





Looks good. Trying it now.
I can see this as being useful for sound effect design where ducking some bands away could really shine.

I think this is the most straight forward I’ve ever seen a multiband compressor presented (with this many features). Very intriguing, definitely going to check this out.
