it did not seem to find anything related to gadgetlabs to remove. Now I'm trying to figure out how to remove the software that puts the "Test Mode Windows 7 Build 7600" on my screen. Note: also getting regular BSODs now, with strange audio noises.

Greg,

Any progress in make it work?

Maybe you can unreg the 32bit dll with a (run as admin) dos command prompt:

regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\SysWOW64\gadgetlabs_asio_32.dll

see for more info: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/249873

Thanks I'll try that tonight, as it is still sitting there, I've uninstalled it as much as I can, but the little words still stay in my bottom right screen 'Win 7 Test' something.

Greg,

It looks like the Test Mode tag is going to be permanent after installing Win7 SP1. I installed it the other night and now it's on my desktop also.

Test Mode Tag is OK, makes you feel like we have some control over Microsoft. :)

Glad the BSODs have stopped with Win 7 SP1

Going to have to work this issue on the weekend due to day job.

Thanks, it looks like it was already unregistered. I tried to run the command and it said that the specified module could not be found. I guess I'll try re-installing.

Finally ready to reburn my system, hopefully. Will then plan to reinstall the GL drivers. Lately though it has been BSOD everyday at login. I'll try to carefully install them, hopefully and see if that fixes it. :D

It WORKS!!!!!!!!

Yay, Listening to some happy funk right now. Bernie Worrell.

Oh, man, Great Job on the drivers.

I think my problem was that I had not installed the Visual Studio stuff correctly. This is sooooo nice.

It sounds as awesome as I remember it!

Thanks Mostek, it works great. And thanks for all your help Doug and USRFobiwan

Good deal Greg, glad to hear that you got it sorted out. My GL hardware has proven to be the best money I've spent by a long shot. As a side note a very good friend of mine ran FOH for Bernie and you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Woo Warriors always put on a killer show.

That's way cool about the FOH thing. Neat.

I had to reburn my machine without the drivers, shucks, since it kept on Blue Screening and hanging. I'll try it for a while without the drivers to see if it is a bad PC or something, but it never was before. At least I could put the GL system back into an XP machine.

I took the drivers clean off, and reformatted, and reloaded the OS from some restore disks, and the thing is still BSODing. Amazingly, it is still under warranty, and Dell has sent me a new hard drive with a clean image. I'll probably take out the GL card when replacing the HD, and see if it runs reliably. It is no fun to get a BSOD in the morning, every morning. But I'm glad it most likely wasn't the new GL drivers, at least.

Sorry to hear that you're still having problems Greg. If the new HD doesn't straighten it out I'd suspect memory or a bad power supply next, of course that's only a guess. Let me know if I can try to help.
